"Doing Something Nice for Mrs. Rice" BIG SUCCESS

Big Success !!!

I would first of all like to send out a Big Thank You to all who participated in this event. It allowed us all to help someone who needed the Help, and you got to feel good about that ! There are just to many to start thanking everyone individually but you know who you are and I am sure the Big Guy will send you good Karma two fold. Roomer has it the Team at RIDER88, friends and family raised over $5,000.00 dollars to help lessen Mrs. Rice's burden a little. I had the opportunity to speak to Mrs. Rice personally during the event and words can not express the great appreciation that she felt from the efforts that everyone put out to try and help. It truly brought tears to my eyes and hers. It really put ones faith back into mankind. The rain stayed away for most of the day and we had 38 bikes turn out for the Dice Run and 44 riders. What a good run it was all good. There were no incidents except for one Rider loosing a foot peg but that was it. Good Job and thank you to RKR President Dave Volmer and wife Fran for his organization for this part of the Event and to all who participated. The Beef and Pork on a bun (prepared by my lovely Wife Kelly and I, and yes we have not Divorced) and Salads from Lisa and Keybrand were awesome, not one complaint except that we had no horse radish. The music from Christine and Company (contact me at
mdharlee@gmail.com for booking information)was excellent considering the conditions (rain) that they had to play in. It did not Stop them from entertaining the troops and keeping spirits high. This gal Christine has some great pipes. There were some great raffle Prizes give away after the performance of Christine and Company and the second band that preformed The Blues Daddies. I must say that if you want your crowd to start to get up and start Dancing these guys from The Blues Daddies are your guys to ask to play for you. (contact me at mdharlee@gmail.com for booking information). I wish to also thank Dan Bailey and Jackie house for documenting the event so well. Great shots as you will all see. Melody and Barry Rice also extend a warm thank you to you all for your help and said that they could not have been able to do this without every ones participation. I won't go on and on about our success here but please remember that when you think you have it tough you don't have to look to far for someone that has it a whole lot tougher than you, and that there is always something that can be done to help if you just reach out, pool your resources and make the effort. They also say prayer helps too! Thank you once again and keep your eyes open for the Next RIDER 88 event.

P.S. Thank you to Ene, Elmo and Peete and the Estonian group at Seedriou for there hospitality and warm welcome.

Ride it like you stole it,

Be Safe but most of all

Have Fun.
