Funeral for Pte. Tyler Todd

It was a glorious day that we laid Pte. T. Todd to rest at the Innerkip Cemetery. The sun was shining and hearts were bleeding, everyone (RCMP, OPP, Regional Police. The Military, The Legionnaires, Full Military Band, fellow Conrad's, Family, The 1 rst. CAV Veteran Motorcycle riders, Towns people and many more) were deeply touched of the sacrifice that this family was enduring. The minister was able to express the true nature of Tyler as he portrayed him as somewhat of a rebel rowser who was a bit of a practical joker and someone who got the most out of his brief stay here in this world. He also spoke of what a team player that Tyler was when he told the story of how when one of Tyler's fellow soldiers collapsed during a training exercise. Pte. Todd picked up the soldiers 90 lb. ruck sack and carried it as well as his own for the remaining 26 mile run. I was proud to be a Canadian that day as I stood and watched the band parade by with the family following close behind. There was this family standing beside me and I remember glancing over and seeing the look in this young mans face standing there with pride as he stood at attention almost as if he were a soldier himself , he was holding our Canadian Flag right close to his chest. I could almost hear his heart beating from where I stood. I could here his mother weeping as they marched by almost as if it were her own son who fell in the line of duty. There were many there who would have taken Pte. Todd's place so that this family would have been spared the grief however it is not our choice who goes and who stays. I for one am glad to see we as Canadians are still willing to lay down our lives so that others may always have the taste of freedom and are willing to stand up in the throngs of death as we fight against the oppressions of terrorism.
Thanks to Pte. Tyler Todd and his family for the sacrifice and contributions you have made for this country. I for one will be eternally grateful !

Pte. T. Todd Support our Troops

Rider 88 plans to attend the funeral services of Pte. Tylor Todd Monday April 19, 2010. If anyone would like to join in our support for our troops by attending they are welcome to ride along. We will be leaving Tim Hortons at Homer Watson and the 401 at 12:30 We will be going to the funeral home in Plattsville and riding in the precession to the church. The precession from the church to the cemetary is a private family internment.

Local Biker gives his life in Afghanistan from Roadside Bomb

Pte. Tyler William Todd, 26, of Bright ON. Canada was Killed by a roadside bomb Sunday while preforming a routine patrol southwest of Kandahar City with the 1st Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.
Tyler had just ridden his motorcycle back to his home in Bright from out West only last fall. Many of the locals can still recall hearing him roar around town on his motorcycle when he was just a young boy quoted Brent Davis from the Kitchener Record in an article posted Monday April 12, 2010.
I for one can't thank Pte. Tyler Todd and his family enough for the price this family has paid in the fight against Terrorism. He will be missed dearly by his Mother, Father and two Sisters. Myself, as well as many other Canadians owe our troops whatever support we can give. So please reach out and do whatver you can.

Happy Trails Pte. Todd, You will be missed by many but never forgotten. See you on the other side Brother.
